This course provides comprehensive first-level training for anyone involved in provision, support, and delivery of IT Services. It is accredited by, and follows the syllabus specified by the APM Group (www.apmgroup.co.uk). It culminates in an optional one-hour multiple-choice examination for the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management Version 3 and is a pre-requisite for the further training in ITIL Version 3 that leads to the ITIL Diploma in IT Service Management. The ITIL Framework is a source of good practice in service management. ITIL is used by organisations world-wide to establish and improve capabilities in service management. Service Management is a set of specialised organisational capabilities for providing value to customers in the form of services.
The capabilities take the form of functions and processes for managing services over a lifecycle, with specialisations in strategy, design, transition, operation, and continual improvement. The capabilities represent a service organisations capacity, competency, and confidence for action. The act of transforming resources into valuable services is at the core of service management. Without these capabilities, a service organisation is merely a bundle of resources that by itself has relatively low intrinsic value for customers. |

This three-day accredited course provides participants with a thorough grounding in PRINCE2(TM) and comprises of three main elements. The first provides coverage of PRINCE2 principles: the need for structured project management, why pragmatic and intelligent use of methods is so important, and how PRINCE2 can be employed to achieve business-related objectives.
The second element considers the method itself: what PRINCE2 looks like, how the major components & processes such as planning and control work on their own as well as together, and how the roles associated with the PRINCE2 method can be made really effective.
The third element deals with the implementation of PRINCE2 and provides sound, practical advice on introducing the method into a range of different environments, always bearing in mind the need to keep bureaucracy to a minimum.
Presented by skilled lecturers with extensive experience in the practical application of PRINCE2, the course includes examination coaching and practice using sample questions.
All delegates will sit the PRINCE2 Foundation examination (a multiple choice paper) in the late afternoon of the third day of the course.
This course is fully compliant with the latest version of PRINCE2, and carries the award of 22.5 Professional Development Units (PDU's) for PMI re-certification.

Delegates choosing to take the examination at a later date will attend the first 3 days of the course and return to attend the final 2 days, taking the PRINCE2 examination on the second day. When making your booking please advise of your attendance preference. This course is fully compliant with the latest version of PRINCE2, and carries the award of 37.5 Professional Development Units (PDU's) for PMI re-certification. |
